The Centre for Rural Criminology (UNE)

Located at the University of New England, the primary goal of the Centre for Rural Criminology is to bring together scholars, higher degree research students, practitioners, organisations and communities to support collaborative national and international multi-disciplinary research and the publishing of scholarly work into areas of national and global significance.

Together, the Centre’s researchers and partners study the most compelling social problems which impact upon rural communities. To this end, the Centre aims to lead research in this burgeoning field, inform progressive policies related to rural crime and produce valuable information that can enhance the health and well-being of rural communities.
